Veitshöchheim declared itself assistance dog friendly in April 2021 and explains the topic in great detail on the town’s blog at the same time. The Mainpost has also dedicated itself to the topic in detail.
In addition to the town hall in Veitshöchheim, the Tourist Info in the Mainfrankensälen and the library in the train station are also assistance dog-friendly public places. Mrs. Sibylle Brandt, herself a guide dog owner and from Veitshöchheim, was the initiator of the campaign.
The “Assistance Dog Welcome” campaign was made possible by funding from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and the Aktion Mensch.
