The assistance dog – a hygiene problem?

Assistance dog owners often have difficulties entering grocery shops, doctors’ offices and hospitals. Mostly, the reason given is that dogs are too unhygienic to enter the facility.

Dentist Birgit Nispel, the state-certified expert for hospital hygiene, Prof. Andreas Schwarzkopf, as well as Dr. Udo Wiemer, Department of Food Hygiene, Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, will share information.
